WHAT IS THE LESLIE SCIENCE FAIR PROGRAM FOR 2018-19?
Leslie Middle School's science department encourages our young scientists to compete in our science fairs program. The season consists of four events. The first one will is an informal project inspection at Leslie, the second is the regional science fair at the Willamette University, the third event is an afternoon of project advice and critique by college professors, and the final event is the state science fair at Portland State University.
GETTING STARTED
You may work with a maximum or two partners or you may work alone. Please follow the links below to understand what a middle school science fair project looks like. We want high-quality projects; baking soda and vinegar volcanoes won’t cut it at this level. These sites will give you many awesome inquiry and engineering project ideas, but be sure to read the safety rules.
